How can I fundraise?
How much do I have to fundraise?
You can set your own target for how much you would like to raise this Ramadan. Don’t forget you can increase it as you continue to fundraise over the course of the month.
If you feel that you might not be able to reach your goal, please don't worry - we appreciate that you are taking part and helping to raise funds this Ramadan. We know any good deed done in this blessed month is multiplied!
Can I share my page on my social media accounts?
Can I start fundraising before Ramadan?
You can begin fundraising from the moment you create your page.
Can I still fundraise after Ramadan?
The pages will remain open until December 2024 so you can continue fundraising through the year.
Should I self-donate to my page?
Fundraisers who donate to their own page raise on average 42% more! Dipping into your own wallet and donating to your own page isn’t cheating - it’s the best way to get started on reaching your fundraising target. Your friends and family will soon follow suit.
Can I only fundraise online?
No, you can fundraise offline, https://www.islamic-relief.org.uk/bank-details/ for different ways to donate. Please remember to reference your name and “DIFTC2024” when making any deposits or transfers.
How do I change my fundraising target?
You can edit your target under your page settings.
Are there are any fundraising materials?
Yes, you can access more information on the projects, case studies, download pictures and a lot more in the resources section found here.
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid adds 25p to every £1 donated, at no extra cost to the donor. It’s a Government scheme that enables charities to claim this ‘extra money’ from tax that people have already paid. To allow us to claim Gift Aid, the donor has to be a UK taxpayer and have paid sufficient Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover the amount to Islamic Relief will reclaim in the tax year. If you are fundraising offline, please make sure you send your sponsorship form to us so we can claim it.
How do I pay in my money?
The easiest and most cost-efficient way to collect donations is by asking your supporters to donate online through your own fundraiser page. You can also deposit any cash you've raised by card using our pay-in link: https://pay-in.islamic-relief.org.uk/
Can I do a challenge to fundraise?
Yes, you can take on any personal challenge to help you with your fundraising - whether it's a fitness challenge or a sponsored silence - the choice is yours!

Palestine Emergency Appeal FAQs
How is Islamic Relief delivering aid into Gaza?
Israel has been besieging the Gaza strip, allowing only a very small amount of food, medicine, water and other vital supplies from entering. It is needed to keep hospitals, bakeries and water plants running. Islamic Relief, working with two local partner organisations, is distributing supplies that are available within Gaza–either from the limited stocks still available on markets or contingency stocks that we had put in place through our Disaster Preparedness Plan.
How does Islamic Relief ensure that aid is not abused?
Islamic Relief has strict policies and processesin place to ensure that aid is used for its intendedhumanitarian purpose. We fully screen all partner organisations before working with them, to makesure they are reputable, trustworthy, and share our commitment to humanitarian principles ofimpartiality, neutrality and independence. We also carry out in-depth checks to ensure the quality oftheir work, includingwhat policies and processes they have in place to manage funds appropriatelyand safeguard people in the communitieswe serve.
